• Alcatel Idol 4S with Windows 10 coming soon to Europe

Europe is perhaps the only region where Windows Phone still had a decent market share, one that would not go below the 1% milestone. However, Alcatel has decided to introduce its newest Windows Phone handset, the Idol 4S in the United States, a market completely dominated by iOS and Android.

The good news is Windows Phone fans in Europe will be able to get their hands on the Alcatel Idol 4S after all. According to Alcatel France, the smartphone will be available for purchase in some European countries (France included).

Unlike its Android counterpart, the Windows 10 version of Idol 4S is a high-end smartphone that comes with a powerful Qualcom Snadragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD).

There's no word on price yet, but T-Mobile launched the Alcatel Idol 4S with Windows 10 for $470 outright and the smartphone came with a free VR headset in the sales package.

Those who would like to give the Idol 4S with Windows 10 a try should know the smartphone sports a decent 5.5-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Asahi Dragontrail Glass for extra protection.

Also, Alcatel's high-end smartphone packs an impressive 21-megapixel camera on the back, which features dual-LED flash, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), and 4K video recording. A secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera is included as well.
